The books I read April – June (2018)

Oh lord, I scarcely wish to post this.. but I shall. Unfortunately, over the last 3 months, I have only managed to read 3 books! Exams and University took priority but hopefully, Summer will ensure my reading picks up and the next post will hold a number more books!

  • I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella – As I know I’ve said before Sophie Kinsella’s books have quickly become a great love of mine so I’m sure it’s no surprise this has been read! I find them simplistic enough to count as ‘before-sleep’ reading while keeping me riveted enough to love them! I do, however, think I’m beginning to run out of new ones to read so if anyone knows of similar authors please do let know!
  • Dancing in my nuddy-pants by Louise Rennison – Although not a favourite of the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series I wasn’t about to skip any in my series re-read and it just provides an enjoyable amount of giggling and cringing!
  • Simon vs. the homo sapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli – Ahhh this book is just beautiful. I read it post watching the film which isn’t something I usually do and, yet, I still really loved it. It built on the foundations with beautiful detail and added moments and I really do think it’s an impressive novel. I’m so excited to read the next one – Leah on the Offbeat!

  1. If you read Simon I really recommend you reading the sequel Leah on the Offbeat.
Also if you are looking for more LGBT reads similar to Simon I recommend the rainbow boys series, also fans of the impossible life

    1. OOO thank you so much! I’m always looking for book recommendations, especially LGBTQ+. I have Leah on the Offbeat on my bookshelf actually but I’m saving it for a post-exam treat but I’m so pleased to hear good things about it. I’ll definitely be checking out the other recommendations. Hope you’re doing well & happy reading! xxx

    1. It sucks, doesn’t it? I’m trying to put 15 minutes aside each day but it still seems like so little when there’s so much to read! xxx
